Think Huge is an international fintech company specialising in developing advanced technological solutions for brokers and trading platforms. For more than a decade, it has been helping financial institutions worldwide to build reliable infrastructure, enhance client service and embrace innovation powered by artificial intelligence.
In this conversation, Katerina Burtsava, Head of Business Development, shares how Think Huge combines global vision with the agility of an independent developer, builds a borderless team culture and continues to stay one step ahead of the market.
Think Huge Limited has earned a strong position in the fintech and online trading space. How would you describe the company’s mission and long-term focus?
Our mission is simple. Help traders and help businesses who serve traders, solve problems. We don’t try to cover the entire fintech market – instead, we focus on a professional segment where we can deliver tangible value.
Think Huge has been operating for more than ten years, and over this time we have built solid partnerships with some of the world’s leading brokers. Among our clients are major financial institutions for whom stability and technological reliability are absolutely essential. This, I believe, proves that we are moving in the right direction and developing products that truly meet the industry’s needs.
We always aim to anticipate change rather than follow it. The company’s leadership looks ahead and shapes strategy by staying ahead of market trends. Long before artificial intelligence became a buzzword, we had already begun integrating it into our products. Today, intelligent assistants help traders access information faster and more efficiently, reducing the workload of sales and support teams. It’s a clear example of how innovation becomes a tool, not a slogan.
Business development often involves expanding into complex international markets. What are the main priorities you focus on when extending the company’s global reach?
We operate in the B2B space and collaborate with partners all over the world – from Europe and the United States to Asia and Latin America. The company already has a broad international footprint, but we keep identifying opportunities to strengthen it further.
It’s essential to consider not only local laws and language but also the culture of communication, the rhythm of business and the nuances of interpersonal connection. Personal contact still matters enormously for us and in our industry. Despite living in a digital era, face-to-face meetings and industry exhibitions remain the most powerful drivers of growth. We participate in global events where we can meet partners in person and see how much energy and trust such interactions generate.
At the same time, we use digital channels – targeted campaigns, content localisation, and region-specific strategies. For instance, for the Spanish-speaking market we adapted our materials into Spanish and launched tailored marketing campaigns. This flexible approach allows a global company to stay genuinely local in tone and mindset.

Corporate culture is often the foundation of success. What defines the atmosphere within your team?
Above all, trust. We have almost 100 team members scattered across different countries, all working remotely, yet the sense of unity never disappears. From the very beginning, our processes were designed so that distance would never compromise efficiency. Everyone understands their role and takes responsibility for the common result.
We value openness and mutual support. There are no rigid hierarchies – people communicate directly with department heads, share ideas and solve challenges together. Weekly online meetings keep everyone aligned, and several times a year we meet in person for team-building events in different parts of the world. These gatherings are not just corporate activities but real opportunities to recharge and reconnect. I believe this combination of structure and warmth makes the Think Huge culture truly distinctive.
Every organisation needs to stand out. What, in your view, makes your company appealing to professionals choosing a new place to work?
It’s the balance between professionalism and humanity. We maintain high standards, but the working environment is flexible and respectful. We trust our people and encourage initiative. When someone brings forward an idea and takes ownership of it, they will always be supported.
We make a point of recognising success – it’s part of our DNA. Public appreciation in team chats, celebrating results, expressing gratitude – these simple gestures build cohesion and a genuine sense of belonging.
Think Huge also offers a transparent rewards system, flexible working conditions and real prospects for growth. Employees can move between departments and explore new directions. This creates a sense of progress and motivates people to evolve together with the company.
Employee retention is just as important as recruitment. How do you help people grow once they join the team?
We see learning as a long-term investment. The company sponsors professional courses, online training, certifications and conference participation. Many of our engineers complete advanced programmes in trading-platform administration and earn internationally recognised certificates confirming their expertise.
We also support the development of personal competencies. If someone wishes to improve their public-speaking skills or moderate a panel discussion, we help them prepare. Several colleagues who started in sales are now speakers at major industry forums – a great example of how opportunities within the company translate into real achievements.
This is a mutually beneficial process: as our people grow, so does the company. A motivated and mature team is always the most powerful driver of progress.
Modern leadership is inseparable from diversity. How is gender balance and female leadership encouraged within your organisation?
When I started my career, there were very few women in technical companies, and proving your competence was not always easy. Today, things have changed dramatically. At Think Huge, roles are never determined by gender, and no one has to fight for their voice to be heard.
We have many women in senior positions – in marketing, sales, design and finance – and some in technical departments as well. It has become a normal part of our business reality, and that’s real progress. We don’t have separate programmes to promote women; equality here is simply part of how the company operates. Success is defined by professionalism and accountability.
What I find particularly inspiring is that young women entering the industry now do so without hesitation or self-doubt. They are confident, capable and forward-looking – and that’s the best sign of how far we’ve come.

The fintech industry evolves at incredible speed. How do you keep innovation at the heart of your priorities?
Innovation is part of our DNA. We don’t just follow trends – we help shape them together with our clients. Think Huge’s leadership identifies emerging directions early and is not afraid to experiment, which allows us to stay agile and fast-moving.
Artificial intelligence has become an essential part of our strategy. It improves service quality, speeds up data analysis and automates internal processes. We use AI not only in our products but also in day-to-day operations – from CRM systems to marketing and lead-generation tools.
This mindset keeps the company resilient. We’re comfortable with change and ready to adapt, while never compromising on quality or client trust.
Modern business is expected to contribute beyond financial results. In what ways does your team engage with social or community initiatives?
We take social and environmental responsibility seriously. For more than a year and a half, we’ve run a programme where part of the revenue from selected products goes to our British partner organisation that plants trees around the world.
The company also supports employees facing personal difficulties. It’s not publicised, but it happens regularly. Helping a colleague in a challenging moment feels as natural to us as discussing a new project. This kind of empathy creates a culture of care and belonging.
Cyprus has become an important base for many international firms. What role does the Cypriot team play within the company?
Cyprus is one of Think Huge’s key operational hubs. Part of our sales and marketing teams is based here, and many of our partnerships with brokers are coordinated from the island. Over the past few years, our presence in Cyprus has grown noticeably stronger and more visible.
We launched a large-scale outdoor campaign – over forty billboards across the island – took part in industry exhibitions and organised meetings and panel discussions. These initiatives are not just about visibility; they build recognition and trust among local partners.
We also like to approach communication creatively – from QR-coded cakes with video invitations to light-hearted campaigns and informal networking. This human, approachable style keeps us close to the market and to the people we work with.
The new generation of professionals seeks both growth and balance. How do you support young talent in building sustainable careers?
Younger professionals see work differently – they value balance and purpose as much as success. We strive to create an environment where people can perform effectively without losing their sense of well-being.
The company promotes flexibility: employees plan their own schedules, combine personal and professional commitments and are evaluated by results rather than hours online. Initiative is encouraged, not restricted.
We also focus on developing soft skills – communication, attentiveness, responsibility and the ability to collaborate. These qualities are essential for young professionals growing in an international environment. A balance of freedom and accountability helps form a mature, resilient team.
Your own career path has led you into leadership. Which moments along the way have been most meaningful for you personally?
The most defining moment for me was changing careers entirely. I’m a finance graduate and spent years working in accounting before realising I wanted something different. Moving into the technology sector was a leap into the unknown: a new field, a different pace, another language altogether. It wasn’t easy, but it gave me confidence and taught me adaptability.
Another significant period was the pandemic. We all had to learn how to work from home, balancing professional and personal life. That experience taught me discipline, flexibility and focus – qualities that still define my approach today. It proved that productivity isn’t about being in an office; it’s about trust and self-organisation.
Looking ahead, what goals would you like to achieve in the next few years, and where do you see the greatest opportunities for growth?
From the company’s perspective, I see strong potential in expanding our AI-driven solutions and creating customised products for brokers. These technologies have already proven their value, and we plan to scale them further. We have a robust team of developers and engineers capable of bringing any concept to life – this is the foundation of our future growth.
Personally, I see my path continuing within Think Huge. I identify deeply with the company’s culture – trust, openness and a constant drive for innovation. I feel I’m in the right place, surrounded by people who share the same values and enthusiasm.
Technology will always keep changing, but that’s precisely what makes it exciting. Our mission is not just to keep up with change – it’s to help lead it.
